We did it! Another day of walking and busing around Seattle to look at bikes, while keeping an eye out for wifi in order to actually be able to look up said buses (and communicate with the sellers). So both hectic and slow (buses aren't super speedy) at once. However, we once again have three bikes, complete with pannier racks, fenders/mud guards and bottle cages.

It turns out that one way in which Seattle has great infrastructure supporting cycling is in its bus amd bike compatibility. Quite simply, you can take a bike with you when you travel by bus for no extra charge, and it's really really easy to put the bike on the racks at the front of buses. The only potential issue is that there is only space for three bikes per bus. But c'mon, not enough people cycle for that to be a real problem yet.

We were exhausted by the end of the day. After all, finding all the bikes and parts wasn't enough - they still need building. Putting all the 'extras' like racks on the bikes and making them fit is quite a fiddly job. In fact, the job isn't comolplete unless at least three things (per bike) needeced some kind of creative ir makeshift solution...

The beautiful sunset and lots of tasty Mexican food for dinner made for a nice break and celebration of today's achievements. A shame we had to get on with building the bikes again after.

Still, ready to roll again tomorrow. :D
