Today was pretty great. It started with a massive breakfast curtesy of my warm showers host, and then continued with a day of great cycling.

The miles almost seemed to fly past, and even the weather (drizzle, warm, drizzle, cold, warm, drizzle etc) did little to dampen ;) my mood. That there wasn't a constant headwind really helped.

Interestingly, the scenery varied a bit and a quiet road meant I could enjoy it more.

The day started with a ride through the sand dunes at long beach. Then I passed through half flooded sand plains before ending up in forested hills with small river crossings (so ddcent bridges). On the way I also passed through Bruceport and South Bend with their oyster and clam catch and processing plants.

Somehow this made for an (at times) contemplative ride, and today felt less stressful than the previous days.
