Legs still felt jelly-ish in the morning so I packed in much earlier than intended and stayed in a state park. The facilities were basic (1 toilet and fireplaces), but the surrounding trees and nearby river very beautiful.

Upon the advice of someone who'd been camped there for a week, I stayed in a spot marked 'closed until further notice', feeling slightly daring and slightly scared. Nonetheless, I dropped off to sleep quite quickly (an early 9pm or so), only to be awoken by voices at 0:45 in the morning, checking out my camping spot and debating whether they should ignore the 'closed' notice, before spotting my tent already set up and moving on.
